چکیده

Peaches/nectarines (Prunus persica L.) are widely cultivated worldwide. As with other species, the sugar content is most important trait for fruit quality, especially precocious cultivars. Most fruits need to improve their in order be more profitable under fierce market competition. 5-Aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a naturally occurring δ-amino acid, has been shown leaf photosynthesis and content. However, mechanisms not clear. The objective of this study determine effects exogenous ALA on photosynthesis, assimilate transport, accumulation during development. We used field-cultivated nectarine ‘Zhongyoutao 4’ potted peach ‘Zhongai 33’ as materials, whereas second experiment, we 14C radiolabeling trace fixation leaves, transport branches, distribution different organs. results showed that significantly enhanced photosynthetic gas exchange capacity, were maintained at least one month. radiolabel experiment promoted fruits, reduced allocation rate young leaves. This suggests enlarges “source” volume strengthens “sink” competition; therefore, translocation promoted. It was observed sucrose contributed main saccharide quality maturity, which might converted from glucose or fructose but starch degradation. improved well degradation maturity. RT-qPCR expression genes involved metabolism did correlate even negatively expressions SWEET1/6/7/8/15/16/17 highly correlated content, treatment up-regulated gene suggesting they play an role accumulation. These provide theoretical support application improvement, regulatory mechanism fruits.

Evaluation of Antioxidant Compounds and Total Sugar Content in a Nectarine [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] Progeny

Epidemiological studies suggest that consumption of fruit rich in phenolic compounds is associated with health-protective effects due to their antioxidant properties. For these reasons quality evaluation has become an important issue in fruit industry and in breeding programs. Phytochemical traits such as total phenolics, flavonoids, anthocyanins, L-ascorbic acid, sugar content and relative ant...

Quality oriented fruit breeding: Peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch]

Promising new tools for peach fruit quality breeding have been revised in this work. These tools included fruit quality evaluation through physical, chemical and sensorial parameters and post-harvest storage evaluation. The development of a feasible method for an early testing of peach selections generated in breeding programs is also well described together with the discussion of the inheritan...

on translation of politeness strategies in dialogues involving female characters in translations and retranslations of novels translated before and after the islamic revolution of iran and their effects on the image of women: a polysystem theory approach

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

effect of salinity on growth and leaf photosynthesis of two sugar beet (beta vulgaris l.) cultivars

this study investigated the variation between two sugar beet (beta vulgaris l.) cultivars with respect to growth parameters and photosynthetic rates of individual attached leaves during salinization. sugar beet plants grown in sand culture were gradually exposed to different levels of salinity (0, 50, 150 , 250, and 350 mm, nacl+cacl2 in 5:1 ratio). salt concentrations significantly decreased a...
